Welcome to my new adventure! My mother in law- Irene Hickey collected Department 56 Christmas in the City villages and would decorate her house every holiday with a wonderful Christmas Village setting. It was fun to watch it grow over the years. I remember when all the grandkids were young her display was on top of her entertainment unit. Then as the kids grew older and her collection grew larger, it took over most of the living room.

In her passing, the collection was divided amongst her children. We were blessed to receive several of her buildings and accessories and have displayed them over the years ourselves. My hubby has added a new piece to our collection over the last few years.

Well, COVID gave me time to really get into this village thing and yes, I'm Hooked! I also realized that there is a great market for retired buildings and accessories- so "Hooked on Villages" was born. I am enjoying meeting fellow villagers and hearing how they became Hooked.
